About Us - Songwriting & Production Process

Jimmy Fat Fingers Productions LLC develops original songs written by James M. Fritz, AKA Jimmy Fat Fingers. The process is deliberately structured so the song itself is established first, before any AI-assisted production is used.

1. Songwriting

Each song begins with research, ideas, melody development, and original lyrics. James creates the song's melody, lyrics, chord structure, tempo, key, and overall musical direction.

2. DAW Production

The song is then moved into James's digital audio workstation (DAW), where his vocal performance and the instrumental parts are added. This creates the original song demo that establishes the composition and how the song is intended to be performed.

3. Copyright Registration

After the original song demo and lyric sheet are completed, they are submitted to the U.S. Copyright Office for registration. This documents the human-written composition and the original demo before any AI-assisted production is applied.

4. AI-Assisted Enhancement

Only after the original song demo is complete does James use AI production tools. These tools are used to enhance the presentation of the song - primarily male or female vocals and instrumentation.

No generative AI is used to create the lyrics, melody, chord progression, or song concept. The AI system is instructed to follow, or cover, the original song demo and lyrics as written.

5. Human-Recorded Master Option

If a sync producer, artist, label, or other music professional prefers a fully human-performed and human-recorded version, Jimmy Fat Fingers Productions can arrange for a Nashville-produced demo or master-style recording. Typical turnaround is approximately two to three weeks, depending on scheduling and production requirements.

Materials Available for Sync & Industry Review

Upon request, supporting materials can be provided, including original song demos, lyric sheets, chord information, metadata, authorship and ownership documentation, and copyright registration information. The recordings presented on this website are intended to demonstrate the song and its commercial potential; they are not necessarily intended to serve as the final production master.
